Please describe how you think the implementation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) may impact the health status of First Nations in Alberta.
You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.
In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
At least two (2) years’ experience managing health and/or social programs.
At least two (2) years’ experience in budget management (i.e. planning, monitoring, and reporting).
At least two (2) years’ experience representing an organization externally at meetings, committees, or working groups.
Experience providing strategic advice or recommendations to senior managers (directorlevel or higher) and stakeholders.
If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)
Master’s Degree in a discipline related to the position (i.e. Public Health, Leadership, Social Sciences).
Experience working with Indigenous people or organizations.
Experience managing grants and contributions.
Experience working with communitybased organizations involved in the delivery of health and/or social programs.

Preference may be given to identified employment equity candidates in order to address branch and/or departmental objectives.
In alignment with the Aboriginal Peoples Employment Program (APEP) in support of increasing Aboriginal representation in areas having the most impact on program delivery and health outcomes of FNIHB’s target population, selection may be limited to candidates selfidentifying as belonging to Aboriginal peoples. Aboriginal candidates must use the Affirmation of Aboriginal Affiliation Form (AAAF).
Conditions of employment
Reliability Status security clearance
Class 5 driver’s licence.
Willingness and ability to work overtime or extended hours when required. Willingness and ability to travel frequently.

Must be willing to relocate.
Reference checks will be conducted.
Interviews will be conducted.
Written test(s) may be administered.
A Personnel Psychology Centre test will be administered.
